– About –

Hello, my name is Jan-Micha, I am a designer researching and designing the materialised relationship of human and nature. The core of my work is the transformation and appreciation of what is at hand.

Most of my projects are revolving around concepts of value, as well as the role of materials in our society and environment.

I am drawn to topics that are complex, tabu, or outside from scientific realms.

In the last few years, I have mainly been working with electronic waste and re-using it to create objects that question the way we deal with so called waste and the values associated with it.

I have –

the sensibility to talk about complex issues.

the optimism to always be able to change things.

the courage to break new ground.

the sense of beauty in every detail.

the freedom to see things differently and break with patterns.

the determination to make new decisions.

the trust in the connection between people and all living things.

the creativity to create new connections.
